God’s Plan for Your Life 10/03/2025
What is God’s plan for your life…? We all wonder what that truly is. Some people receive that revelation, but most don’t. They hope, they wonder, but they never really dig deep in their hearts, dig deep into the Word of God, or seek the Lord long enough with diligence until He reveals it.
Every morning, I pray a simple but powerful prayer that includes these words:
“Lord, I trust You. I trust Your plan. I trust Your goodness. I trust what You can see and I can’t. I trust You with it all, Lord. Keep reminding me that I don’t need to figure everything out. I just need to stay close to You.”
These words first came to me years ago through a book by Lysa TerKeurst, and they pierced my heart. I have prayed them ever since. They are not easy words to say, because it’s hard walking blindly. Yet when I pray them, I mean them from the depths of my heart.
At moments like this, even though I don’t yet know God’s perfect plan for my life, I’ve learned that when I stay at His feet—seeking Him, loving Him, remembering His character—I can rest in the truth that He will never fail me. I know He is preparing me for what He has prepared for me. He is shaping me so that when His plan unfolds, I will handle it well and walk in His will. His desire is not for me to barely survive when I get there, but to thrive in Him.
As these thoughts filled my heart this morning, the Lord brought a scripture to my mind that settled my spirit:
“And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2:2-3 KJV
Though it tarry, wait for it. Because it will surely come. And when that day comes, nothing and no one can stop it—because He is God, and He is good.
